Documentation
Everything you need to install, customize and launch your ApaOne Bundle.
Getting Started
Every ApaOne bundle is a complete, industry-tuned WordPress site — theme, plugins, demo pages, images and settings — packaged as a single import file. You do not build from a blank canvas; you start from a finished website and make it yours. Before you install, make sure you have the following ready.
- A hosting account running PHP 8.0 or newer and MySQL 5.7+ / MariaDB 10.4+ (any mainstream shared, cloud or managed WordPress host qualifies).
- A fresh WordPress 6.x installation on your domain — empty is best, so the demo content imports cleanly.
- Your ApaOne account login, where the bundle ZIP, license key and updates all live.
- Roughly 20–30 minutes for a first launch. Most of that is you writing your own copy — the technical setup takes only a few minutes.

Installation Guide
This is the full, careful walk-through. It takes you from a bare domain to your bundle installed and activated.
- Download your bundle. Sign in to ApaOne, open Your Downloads, and click Download Bundle (ZIP). Save the file somewhere you can find it — do not unzip it.
- Install WordPress on your domain. Use your host's one-click WordPress installer, or upload WordPress manually and complete the famous five-minute install. Finish by logging in to your dashboard at
yourdomain.com/wp-admin. - Add the ApaOne importer plugin. In wp-admin go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the
apaone-importer.zipfound inside your bundle download, then click Install Now and Activate. - Import the bundle template. Open the new ApaOne menu in your sidebar and select Import Bundle. Upload the bundle ZIP you downloaded in step one. The importer installs the theme, required plugins, all demo pages, menus and images in one pass — leave the tab open until it reports Import complete.
- Activate your license key. Still under the ApaOne menu, open License, paste the key from your Downloads page (it looks like APA-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX), and click Activate. This unlocks lifetime updates and premium plugin licensing.
- Confirm the front end. Visit your domain in a new tab. You should see the fully designed demo site — header, hero, services, testimonials and footer — exactly like the live demo you previewed before buying.
Prefer to hand this off? Any developer can complete the steps above in minutes, and your license covers unlimited installs on your own domains.
Quick Start
Bundle installed? Here is the fastest path from demo content to a site that is genuinely yours. Work top to bottom — each item builds on the last.
- Set your site identity. Go to Appearance → Customize → Site Identity, upload your logo, and set the site title and tagline.
- Swap the brand colours. Under Customize → Colors, set your primary and accent colours. Every button, link and heading updates instantly.
- Replace the demo copy. Edit the Home, About, Services and Contact pages, replacing placeholder text with your real business details.
- Update images. Replace hero and gallery images with your own photos via the Media Library, keeping the same recommended dimensions shown in each block.
- Point the contact form. Open the contact form settings and change the recipient email to your inbox (covered in detail below).
- Review the menus. Under Appearance → Menus, remove any demo links you do not need and confirm every item points to a real page.
- Go live. When you are happy, publish. If you built on a staging URL, update Settings → General to your final domain.
Customization
Replacing demo content
Your bundle ships with realistic demo pages so you can see the finished layout. Edit them in place rather than starting fresh — the styling, spacing and section structure are already done for you. Open any page, click into a block, and type your own text. Delete blocks you do not need; duplicate ones you want more of.
Colours, fonts and logo
- Logo: Appearance → Customize → Site Identity → Logo. A transparent PNG or SVG looks best.
- Colours: Customize → Colors. Set one primary and one accent colour to rebrand the whole site.
- Typography: Customize → Typography to change heading and body fonts from the curated font list.
Configuring menus
Navigation lives under Appearance → Menus. Your bundle includes a pre-built primary menu and footer menu. To adjust them:
- Select the menu you want to edit from the Select a menu to edit dropdown.
- Add pages, custom links or categories from the left panel, then drag items to reorder or nest them.
- Remove any demo-only entries by expanding an item and clicking Remove.
- Confirm the correct Display location checkboxes (Primary, Footer) are ticked, then Save Menu.
Setting up the contact form
Every bundle includes a working contact form so enquiries reach you from day one. To route it to your inbox:
- Open Contact → Contact Forms and click your bundle's default form.
- On the Mail tab, set the To field to the email address that should receive submissions.
- Confirm the From address uses your own domain (for example
noreply@yourdomain.com) so messages pass spam checks. - Save, then send yourself a test message from the live page to confirm delivery. If it does not arrive, install an SMTP plugin (see Troubleshooting).
SEO Foundation
Your bundle is built on clean, fast, search-friendly markup — but search engines still need a few signals from you. Cover these basics before you promote the site and you will be ahead of most competitors in your industry.
- Set a clear title and meta description for every important page. Lead with what you offer and where, in plain language a customer would search for.
- Use one H1 per page and keep headings in a logical order (H1 → H2 → H3). Your bundle's templates already follow this — preserve it as you edit.
- Add descriptive alt text to every image. Describe what is shown; this helps both accessibility and image search.
- Confirm your permalinks are readable. Under Settings → Permalinks, choose Post name so URLs read like
/services/rather than/?p=42. - Submit your sitemap. Verify your domain in Google Search Console and submit
yourdomain.com/sitemap.xmlso pages get indexed quickly. - Fill in your local details. If you serve a local area, add your business name, address and phone consistently in the footer and on your contact page.
Tip: write for your customer first and the search engine second. Specific, helpful pages rank far better than keyword-stuffed ones.
AI Content Assistant
Staring at demo text and not sure what to write? The built-in AI Content Assistant drafts on-brand copy for any block in seconds, so you can launch with words that actually describe your business.
- Open the assistant. While editing a page, click the ApaOne AI button in the block toolbar, or open the ApaOne → AI Assistant panel.
- Describe your business. Tell it who you are, what you offer and who you serve — one or two sentences is plenty. The more specific you are, the better the draft.
- Choose what to generate. Pick a content type: a hero headline, an about section, service descriptions, calls to action or FAQ answers.
- Generate and refine. Review the draft, then ask for a shorter, warmer or more formal version until it fits your voice.
- Insert and polish. Drop the copy straight into the block, then edit the details — names, numbers and specifics — so everything is accurate.
- Always fact-check generated copy — the assistant writes the words, but only you know your real prices, hours and promises.
- Use it for first drafts and rewrites, not final legal or medical claims.
- Keep prompts concrete: "family-run bakery in Denver, known for sourdough and custom cakes" beats "a food business".
Troubleshooting
Most issues have a quick, well-known fix. Work through the relevant item below; if you are still stuck, our support team is one click away.
The import failed or timed out
- Import into a fresh WordPress install — leftover content can conflict with demo data.
- Ask your host to raise
max_execution_timeto 300 andmemory_limitto 256M, then run the import again. - Re-run Import Bundle; the importer is safe to repeat and will resume rather than duplicate.
My license key will not activate
- Copy the key straight from your Downloads page — the Copy button avoids stray spaces.
- Confirm your server can reach the internet (activation checks in with ApaOne).
- Still failing? Contact support with your order email and we will reset the key.
Contact form submits but no email arrives
- Check the spam folder of the recipient address first.
- Install a reputable SMTP plugin and connect it to your email provider — shared hosts often block the default PHP mail function.
- Make sure the From address uses your own domain, not the visitor's.
Images or styling look broken after import
- Clear your site cache and any CDN cache, then hard-refresh your browser.
- Go to Appearance → Menus and Customize to confirm the theme is active and menus are assigned.
- Regenerate thumbnails if images appear cropped, then reload the page.
The dreaded white screen
- Deactivate recently added third-party plugins one at a time to find the conflict.
- Confirm your host is running a supported PHP version (8.0+).
- If you cannot reach wp-admin, ask your host to enable WordPress debug logging and send us the error — we will pinpoint it.
